
Lois L. Trever, 83, of Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Lois was born the daughter of John and Iva (Collins) Troutman in the town of Mountain on June 2, 1934. She attended Peshtigo Brook Grade School and Suring High School. Lois married Melvin Trever at Hickory Church of Christ in December 1952. She served the area in many ways including serving on the Mountain Ambulance for 25 years, serving as town clerk for the Town of Armstrong (now Mountain) for 22 years, was on the Oconto County Board of Supervisors for 26 years and was a member of Mountain Church of Christ for many years along with being a Sunday school teacher.
Lois also served as deputy zoning officer, deputy coroner and as a volunteer driver for the Oconto County Commission on Aging, as well as working the Commission on Aging meal site in Lakewood.
Lois is survived by her children, Ardis (Roger) Kuske, Lori (Alton) Braddy, Wanda (Brian) Ploeger, Ellen (Rick) Hunt, and Brad (Shaun) Trever; two sisters, Helen Anderson and Margie McNutt; a brother, Lyle (Nona) Troutman; four sisters-in-law, Arnola Troutman, June (Gerald) Janousky, Lillian Krueger, and Patricia Trever; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Dorothy) Trevor and Joe (Sandy) Trever; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roy Troutman, Harry Troutman and Gary Troutman; a sister Gail Trever; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Thompson; four brothers-in-law, Emerald Anderson, Gilbert Trever, Ray Trever Jr. and Gilbert McNutt.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Hickory Church of Christ from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at noon with Pastor Andrew Jantz officiating.
