Audrey A. Corriveau

Audrey A. Carriveau, 79, of Stiles, died on Friday evening, Oct. 13, 2017, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. She was born on Dec. 11, 1937, in rural Lena to Ernest and Mayme (Kafka) Frye Sr. As a child she moved with her family out of state because of her father’s sawmill occupation.

The family returned to the Lena area where she attended country school, and eventually Audrey graduated from Lena High School with the Class of 1954 and was always proud of her perfect school attendance. Following graduation, she attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for a time.

On Jan. 21, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, Roger Carriveau, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Lena.

Audrey lived in the Stiles area for most of her life. She was employed as a cook for Oconto Falls Public Schools for 15 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles.

Audrey will be fondly remembered as an avid bowler, the things she crocheted, and the enjoyment she had caring and cooking for her entire family.

Survivors are her children, Michael (Stephanie) Carriveau, Arvada, Colorado; Jeffrey (Patti) Carriveau, Stiles; Sue (Brian Snow) Vandenbush, Stiles; Penny Hujet, Stiles; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two brothers, Ernest (Karen) Frye Jr., Florida, and James (Carol) Frye, Lena; one brother-in-law, Ronald Hessler, Fond du lac; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger, in 2014; one son, Larry; two grandchildren, Joey Koebach and Grace Hujet; and one sister, Dolores Hessler.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Visitation will continue after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will take place in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Lena.
