Enid Blythe Tousey, 86, passed into eternal life peacefully in her granddaughter Jennepher’s home in Weyauwega surrounded by her family on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018. She was born on Feb. 27, 1932, and raised in Wausaukee, daughter of the late Ralph and Winnie (McRae) Rishel. She attended Wausaukee High School and graduated with the Class of 1950. Enid Rishel met and married Ervin “Smokey” Tousey on Sept. 9, 1950. Together they owned numerous businesses including Tousey’s Restaurant in Suring. Upon retirement they enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Texas.
Enid is survived by her children, Michael Tousey, of Gillett, William “Bill” Tousey, of Oconto, Winnie Souza, of Lathrop, California, Paul (Wendy) Tousey, of Castile, New York; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin “Smokey” Tousey; her two sons, Gene “Bud” and John Tousey; her brother, Ralph Rishel; and her sister Ardith Biernasz.
Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at noon. Enid will be laid to rest next to her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Online condolences can be left at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com
