Robert “Bob” Picazo, 81, Oconto Falls, died Saturday morning, March 31, 2018, at The Cottages. He was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Kenosha to Richard and Isabel (Garcia) Picazo. Bob grew up in Kenosha where he attended school and as a young man entered the U.S. Army. As a paratrooper, he proudly served his country while stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He did tours in Germany and South America and was honorably discharged in late 1956.

On Oct. 3, 1959, he married Noni Steffens at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee for 15 years where Bob worked as an industrial pipe-fitter. In 1969, they and their young family moved to Lena, eventually moving to Oconto Falls on the Steffens homestead. Bob worked in Green Bay for Larson Canning, later Dean Foods, for over 30 years. While there, he served as union treasurer. Following retirement, Bob worked as custodian of St. Anthony Catholic Church and School for 13 years where he was a member. He will be fondly remembered as a fisherman and avid deer hunter, hunting with the same group of guys for 42 years. Bob was also a huge Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan, waiting 32 years on the list to obtain his season tickets.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Noni Picazo, Oconto Falls; their four children, Dani-Ann Sutter, Lodi, Roberta Dorner, Green Bay, Cara (Stephen Ottone) Barton, Freedom, and Robert Picazo, Oconto Falls; four grandchildren, Joseph and Jackson Sutter, Genevieve and Cole K. He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Connie and Richard; his in-laws, Matt and Deloris Steffens; and two brothers-in-law, Dante Navarro and Maynard (Patsy) Steffens.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Cottages for the care given to their beloved husband and father.
